why should you join our award-winning organization?

Our numbers might clear things up:

  • 94% of our current members have internships or jobs in the sport industry.

  • 50% of those were acquired directly through SMA.

  • 82% said that SMA is helpful in giving all our members opportunities in employment in the sport industry.

  • 50 interviews were earned at the 2016 Baseball Winter Meetings by attending members, a record for SMA.

  • 102 paid members were on our roster in 2016-17, 45% of which were new members.

  • 1 in 3 members attended Mega Events this year, not including 20 more that attended the Baseball Winter Meetings.

  • 11 states travelled to in the past 2 years, our farthest event being over 450 miles away from BGSU.

Just listen to what our members have to say:

Without SMA, I would have missed out on a lot of opportunities that I never knew I could have while still in college, and each one was fun and enlightening!

Going to the MLB Winter Meetings for 2 straight years provided me with a lot of networking and job interview experience. I also have landed a job from one of the Winter Meetings I have attended. I would have not had those opportunities if I was not in SMA.

The connections SMA has are wonderful,
