The members of the Sport Management Alliance brainstorm, plan, organize, and execute dozens of events every year to promote the organization, bring together students for fun, or raise funds.

Women's Leadership in Sports Forum
The first of its kind at BGSU, Director of Events Angeline Seames created the Women's Leadership in Sports Forum. Female speakers from around sports attended and spoke about their experiences and ability to overcome a steep gender gap in the sports industry. The first year of the forum was a roaring success, and the event is being made annual. The Forum was also awarded "Best Educational Program" by BGSU for its inaugural year in 2017.
Sport Management Expo at BGSU
The annual Sport Management Expo is the largest sport job and graduate fair symposium at BGSU. In 2017, over 30 employers were present and hiring and 120 students attended – the largest ever done at BGSU. Notable employers include: Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Mid-American Conference, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toledo Mudhens, and the University of Michigan. Notable graduate schools who have attended: University of Michigan, University of Kentucky, Eastern Michigan University, University of Cincinnati, and others.
3 v 3 Basketball Tournament
SMA partnered with BGSU Recreation & Wellness to put on a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, where 11 teams registered and over 40 participants played a double-elimination tournament. The winners were awarded a t-shirt and a year's worth of bragging rights.
Golf Ball Drop
The Golf Ball Drop is an annual 50/50 raffle-style event dedicated to raising funds for SMA and an opportunity for students to win some cash. In 2016, the event raised over $500, and a lucky student took home $250. The drop was hosted at BGSU's own Forrest-Creason Golf Course.
